Professora certificada de Dança Irlandesa

Mira Amadea dança há 20 anos.

Passou o exame TCRG em Glasgow em 2016 e é a primeira Professora certificada em Portugal pela An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha.

Competiu pela Gabriell School (2002-2003) e pela secção alemã da Michael Donnellan School of Irish Dancing em Braunschweig, Alemanha (2003-2010). Durante os anos em que participou em concursos de dança (2002-2010), ganhou vários troféus e medalhas em Feiseanna que tiveram lugar na Europa.

  

Participou em alguns concursos importantes e de prestígio, como os Campeonatos Europeus e as Eliminatórias dos Campeonatos Mundiais (Oireachtas Rince na h-Eorpa) em Zoetermeer (Países Baixos 2008) e em Bremen (Alemanha 2009).

Em 2009, ficou em 2.º lugar nas Eliminatórias (Senhor Ladies). O ponto mais alto da sua carreira competitiva foi ter participado duas vezes nas eliminatórias dos Campeonatos Mundiais: foi aos Mundiais em Filadélfia (EUA 2009). Também fez parte do grupo de dança Rince Samhain e.V (2002-2014) e ganhou uma experiência inestimável em termos de actuações e espectáculos de dança.

Ao longo dos seus 17 anos de dança irlandesa, teve aulas e beneficiou do apoio de Bailarinos e Professores de dança irlandesa de muito êxito. Primeiro com Kim Heinrich e Michael Donnellan, e mais recentemente com Robert Gabriell, Priscilla Hall, Michael Eustace, Dearbhla Lennon, Colin Dunne e Mary McElroy.

 

Em 2014, mudou-se para Portugal, começou a dar aulas na zona de Lisboa e de Cascais, e fundou a escola Rince Na Lisboa Academy Portugal, onde tem a oportunidade de transmitir a sua paixão e experiência pela Dança Irlandesa à próxima geração de bailarinos.

Dance Teacher & Coach

 

Mira Amadea has been dancing for 20 years. She is the first certified Teacher in Portugal with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. In 2016 she has successfully completed the TCRG examination in Glasgow.

 

Since 2020 she is as well a certified and registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).

She advocates  positive mental health and wellbeing in dancing. Since 2019 Mira Amadea is an Ambassador for DTCD, an amazing project of Fabíola Borges de Castro. It is a project supporting dancers both during their performing career and transitioning to life after dance. Bringing awareness to the many challenges that dancers face, from enhancing performance to choosing a suitable career path.

 

Her mission is to empower and encourage her students on their personal dance journey and to remember their own true nature and potential. She likes to encourage her students to achieve their goals by bringing focus and harmony into every part of the training to build up a strong mind and resilience.

Her competitive career & experience


She competed under the Gabriell School (2002-2003) and the German branch of the Michael Donnellan School of Irish Dancing in Braunschweig, Germany (2003-2010). During her years in competition dancing (2002-2010),  she won several trophies, medals and championships in Feisanna within Europe.

She attended some prestigious and important competitions, such as the Mainland European Championships & World Qualifiers (Oireachtas Rince na h-Eorpa) in Zoetermeer, Netherlands 2008 & Bremen, Germany 2009. In 2009 she gained 2nd place in the Qualifying Championships (Senior Ladies). - The highlight in her competitive career was qualifying on 2 separate occasions for the World Championships : she attended the World Championships in Philadelphia USA in 2009. occasin

 

Mira was also part of the dance group Rince Samhain e.V (2002-2014) and gained invaluable experience in performance and show dancing. Throughout her 17 years of Irish dance, Mira was taught and supported by some very successful Irish Dancers and Teachers. Firstly by Kim Heinrich & Michael Donnellan and latterly  with Robert Gabriell, Priscilla Hall, Michael Eustace, Dearbhla Lennon, Colin Dunne  & Mary McElroy.

 

After she graduated from Braunschweig University of Art (Diploma & Master/ Fine Arts) in 2014, Mira Amadea moved to Portugal, started teaching in the Lisbon and Cascais area and founded Rince Na Lisboa Portugal & Associação Portuguesa de Dança Irlandesa RNL,  where she is able to give her passion and experience for Irish Dance to the next generation of dancers.
